Minervas Pizza & Steak House Arbutus Ridge–Vancouver

It was recommended for us to try out Minervas on W41 Ave.  We got there quite early as we missed lunch, so we decided to go for an early dinner.  They open at 4:30pm which was around he same time we got there.  We were not even the first one there when we arrived.

There is plenty of free street parking nearby too for added convenience.

It was quiet and was still bright outside due to our early dinner plan.

We ordered calamari to start:

The calamari was lightly battered and seasoned just right.  It was a big serving for the two of us to share.

This is the pita bread side that came with our meals:

The pita bread was very soft and fluffy

We both ordered souvlakis.

Beef Souvlaki sans Feta:

Beef Souvlaki with Feta:

The Greek rice was good as it was not too oily.  The salad was a generous size and was fresh.  The beef was a bit overcooked for our liking.

The server should have asked us how well done we wanted the beef, but we also forgot to remind him too.  The beef was still tender though but we think they way over seasoned it which was unfortunate.  The potatoes felt a bit too dry and firm, but still had a good taste to it.

Our server was very friendly and was not pushy at all.  The best part of the visit was the calamari. It was unfortunate that the beef turned out the way it as, but certainly it won’t deter us from coming again to try other dishes.

SFDD gives 3.5 out of 5 Delights.
